We are delighted to invite you to the launch of a new Fabian Society and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung report ‘A Unique Contribution’, by Nick Donovan, with a foreword by Dan Jarvis MP. The report proposes a one-off levy on the passive wealth of the super-rich and takes a more stringent approach with those who have used tax havens or domestic tax avoidance schemes. Revenue would be used to reduce the deficit, thereby easing pressure on spending cuts and taxes on income and earnings. Crucially, it would also reduce spiraling inequality, and ensure all citizens can be equal participants in public life.
