Listen again: Can the UK afford to meet the extra costs of disability?

Felicity Slater

This Labour party conference fringe event, in partnership with Scope, explored how the UK can afford to meet the extra costs that people incur due to disability.

We were joined by: Debbie Abrahams MP (shadow minister for disabled people), Elliot Dunster (group head of policy, research and public affairs, Scope), Catherine Scarlett, chair: Andrew Harrop (general secretary, Fabian Society).

Sadly after New labour and the welfare reforms and ATOS, not sure I’m willing to give labour another chance until I know what are labour plans. Not forgetting many in labour were not that long ago agreeing with the Tories plans we all remember the right wing Reeves who had a hate of anything welfare.
